Heating at Coch-Y-Bondhu
The hydronic heating has been programmed to these temperatures:
From 06:30 it warms up to 22
From 09:00 - 4:00pm it drops back to 20
From 4:00 - 9:30pm it warms up to 24
and then overnight, so you can sleep comfortably, it drops down to 18.
That's aimed at a pretty typical day but we understand that some days you might want it warmer or cooler.
At any time, you can press the + or - buttons to shift the temperature up or down and that new setting will stick until the next time point, when it will revert to the programmed temp.
Please don't shift the heating off Auto, just press the buttons to shift the temperature if you need to.
The windows are double glazed so the house retains the heat quite well but if it's a really cold day it will help to drop the blinds as well.
WOOD HEATER
The wood heater adds a cosy ambience and you are welcome to light the fire any time.
There's a bucket with twigs in the wood cabinet and there is kindling as well, to get the first logs going.
The air intake is adjusted with the lever at the front under the door. Flipped to the left is wide open and flipped to the right is the minimum or overnight setting.
The heater has a fan to spread the warm air. It doesn't affect the fire itself it just pushes air past the hot box and into the room.
The switch for the fan is attached to the rear of the wood heater and has a low an high setting.
We hope this helps
Please enjoy your stay :)
